Our wet weekend

We had great plans for this weekend. Poppa was going to pick up Erin at school on Friday and she would stay with Grammy "Bobby" and Poppa until Sunday. Denise, Greg, Charles and I were supposed to go to Six Flags on Saturday. Then, we were supposed to take Erin to Edaville Railroad on Sunday to meet Curious George! Of course it rained again...I say again because the last time we tried to plan something for the weekend it rained then too!

So we'll try again next weekend. I hear the weather should be better and George will be making an appearance at Edaville Railroad!

Here are some pics of what we did do this weekend!

We took Erin to get a much needed haircut on Saturday and now she looks like Dorothy Hamil!

On Sunday, we walked in the Memory Walk in honor of Greg's grandfather, Jose, who had Alzheimer's. It was rainy and wet but we all had a great time supporting such a great cause!

I love watching all the ways Erin is growing up. Tonight she was taking her "friends" for a ride in her car. She was so cute placing Micky and Minnie Mouse on the seat "just so" and was very careful that "Phan-phant" had a spot, too!

We bought her a farm the other day and it is the first thing she asks for when she wakes up in the morning! The farm can make all the animal noises but she is much happier when the farm is "off" and she can sing "E-I-E-I-O" or "'Donald" all by herself! (For some reason, she is afraid of all the animal noises)

Wow! This could actually work!

Before bed last night I posted about thinking positively and I guess it worked. I woke this morning with a smile on my face. I went through the day with energy and optimism. It's now 6:00 P.M. and I am not feeling exhausted! I can't recall the last time I felt like that! Maybe I should keep this whole "positive thinking" thing up! It can't hurt can it?!

I'm getting sea sick!

I have always believed that I was a positive, optimistic, "glass half full" kind of person, but as I sit here in my boat continuing to ride out these rough seas, I have come to realize that everyone might be right about this whole "positive thinking" thing. Maybe I should give it a try!

I figure I should start out slow, just to test the waters. I really don't want to jump in feet first!

Optimism is an outlook on life such that one maintains a view of the world as a positive place. It is the philosophical opposite of pessimism. Optimists generally believe that people and events are inherently good, so that most situations work out in the end for the best.

I'm just so lazy

Instead of getting the much needed rest that my dear Dr. has recommended...here I am posting new pics of Erin at her Grammy and Poppa's house this past weekend. I always love going to see my Mom and Dad and look forward to the stroll around the block after a yummy lunch.

Can't wait to do it all again next weekend! Now, I am going to bed...maybe!

3 year anniversary 9/17/08

I thought I understood the vows that Greg and I took 3 years ago while I was repeating them..."For better or for worse. For richer or poorer. In sickness and in health. To love and to cherish..." "I do" I said...of course I did. I love Greg. I wanted nothing more than to promise to spend the rest of my life with him. I thought I knew what I was getting in to. I had this fantasy life in my head. We'd buy a house, have some kids and live happily ever after.

Now, more than ever, I am reminded of what I promised before God, family, friends, and most importantly what I promised to Greg and myself. These past 3 years have handed us our share of better and worse, richer and poorer, sickness and health. No one said it would be easy but it has made us into the couple that we are today.

Happy Anniversary, Greg! Thanks for being my best friend.
